I saw your gallery and thought I would share a couple of pictures of my Merican.  I bought the frame in 1979 from Gus Betat in New Orleans and have been riding it constantly ever since.  Still a phenomenal riding bicycle.
Mostly Campy Record and Super Record with some newer pedals and Garmin ANT+ sensors but it still attracts attention everywhere I ride it.  Group and components mostly unchanged for the past 25 to 30 years.
The Red and Gold colors are still very nice, a little faded from wear but still looks great. Reynolds 531 double butted with beautiful lugs.
So much sleeker than most of todays aluminum or carbon fiber bicycles and great road feel and handling. Some things are just too good to change.
Thanks again,
Warren
