The attached photos are from when my red Vincitore was new. She was built by Derek Land and dubbed Mercy Ann due to the peculiar American way I pronounce Mercian. These photos were taken early in a cycling journey that took me from Seattle, Washington to Washington DC, a three month ride in the summer of 1996. Mercy Ann and I are still together, though we have not yet taken another trip quite as grand. She never fails to turn a head and always spends extra time when in the shop because all the guys want to take her out for a spin.
