Launched in August 2026 as part of our 80th year celebrations, the ePro is a new frame design. Also available as a step-through (the ePro Step), the ePro frame is engineered to integrate the Mahle X20 battery internally into the down tube. e-Pro
With a lightweight, powerful 250W battery delivering 65 Nm of torque, the ePro is the ideal bike for the steepest and longest rides.
As with all Mercian bikes, the frame is tailor-made to the rider's dimensions. Built in Derby using the finest Reynolds lightweight steel tubing, the frame is designed with a specific larger, butted Reynolds downtube, large enough to accommodate the 250Wh battery. The downtube is custom shaped and fillet brazed into the frame, securely, safely and discreetly carrying the extra power. The internal battery is easily charged via the charging port, reaching 80% in less than 2 hours and full charge in 3.5 hours.
Fitted with a 250W Mahle hub motor, the rear wheel slots into specific Reynolds dropouts (housing the Mahle drive connector unit and motion sensor) and is secured with a 12mm thru axle. The Speed sensor ensures the bike complies with regulations, effortlessly accelerating you up to 25km/h. Battery levels are clearly displayed, at a glance, via the LED display of the top tube mounted iWoc controller which is also used to easily switch through the 3 customisable levels of assistance. Torque and cadence sensing in the bottom bracket lets the system read rider input precisely, and adaptive control matches motor support to your effort and conditions, delivering a responsive, natural ride feel.
With the Mahle X20 battery providing you with approx. 100km of assistance, all-day rides have become a comfortable reality.

Our Bespoke Packages
We build the frame to your dimensions and your paint scheme.
The ePro is only available as a complete bike, in a choice of either flat bar or drop bar configuration. We can supply it with the build package as detailed below, or customers are welcome to choose any kind of group set and components they wish.
Price includes paint finish of one colour on the frame, and one colour on the forks, plus standard transfers.

Now you’ve chosen your frame, you just need to decide on your paint options: simply use our paint configurator to select your scheme and attach it to your order. Alternatively, select your paint scheme after you’ve paid your deposit.

Secure your build spot with a $1,500.00 deposit (we will then request an interim payment of 75% of the outstanding balance approx. 4 weeks later once your frame is built – see Terms & Conditions)

The paint scheme you design is just a guide – we will confirm the scheme with you, and fine-tune it to your needs, before we start the frame build. Colours shown are for guidance only; due to screen settings, the shades may not be an exact match to the final paint colour.
