If you wish to bring your frame to us, please take it to our showroom at 7 Shardlow Road, Alvaston, Derby DE24 0JG (Closed Wednesdays and Sundays). We are open from 9am - 5.30pm - closing 5pm on Saturday. Here, you will see our colour samples and frame finishes.
If you wish to send your frame to us, please complete our frame renovation form and attach it to the top tube of your frame (not on the outside of the box).
Please ensure a brace is placed between front and rear dropouts - a piece of wooden doweling will be fine.
We can arrange for carriers to collect your frame, any weekday, and return it to you upon completion.
The cost of this service, for both collection and delivery is just £30.00 + VAT (UK only). Pack your frame and address it to: Mercian Cycles Ltd, 7 Shardlow Road, Derby DE24 0JG, then telephone the showroom (01332) 752468 and speak to John, and we will arrange collection.

We use Fedex for Worldwide frame shipment because it is trackable and (touch wood) reliable. We pack the frames in our purpose made boxes, with a bubble bag and bracing between the dropouts.
Fedex prices vary depending on the country and zip code. Please contact us for exact prices at the time of ordering.
October 2010 - guideline, a frame via Fedex to the USA is currently £155.
Australia, Japan around £190 - £200 for a frame.
Europe we use either Parcelforce Euro Business Priority or Fedex, prices approximately £60, but as with all the prices above - please check with us when you are ready to order for an up to date accurate price.
You may be subject to import charges so please check your import duty office.
Delivery Times
Due to the nature of the work we do - it's not something we can rush. For a new frame / cycle order we generally look at a delivery time of 16 weeks depending on staff holidays etc, this can sometimes be around 20 weeks for a frame with lots of intricate work. Chrome also adds around 3 - 4 weeks to the delivery date.
For renovations we pride ourselves on the quality of workmanship and finish, we generally look at turn-around time of 6 - 8 weeks depending on how much work we have on at the time. It can be longer at times - but it can also be quicker. Give us call and we'll let you know how delivery stands at present.
We'd rather take the time to get your frame and cycle right than rush it and be not wholly satisfied - it's the way we work, so please allow plenty of time.
If however you are more desperate to get your hands on one of our new frames or complete machines - we always have a comprehensive stock available to buy at our showroom.
